What is artsVest?

artsVest is a matching incentive and training program that works at a local level to stimulate business sponsorship and corporate engagement in arts and culture one community at a time.  The program provides matching incentives to the business community to encourage sponsorship of arts and culture and by training arts and culture organizations on how to generate business support.
Thanks to the support of our Business Members at Business for the Arts, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Government of Ontario and Canadian Heritage, Business for the Arts is poised to bring the artsVest program to another 5 Ontario communities this year.
artsVest Results
Since 2005, artsVest Ontario has seen a total of $1,4M private sector dollars invested in the arts and culture community, with an initial matching investment of $785K in 16 municipalities.  artsVest’s impact includes partnerships between 485 businesses and 175 arts and culture organizations in Ontario. The program has stimulated first time investments in the arts from 280 businesses.
How artsVest Can Bolster Your Community
The artsVest program helps stimulate funding partnerships between the arts and business communities, while leveraging the efforts of the municipal leadership to activate their municipal cultural plans. The program provides incentives to the business community to invest in the arts by matching sponsorship dollars up to $10,000 for each arts organization. artsVest also provides training to the arts and culture organizations on how to develop a sponsorship pitch and approach the business community with a value-based partnership plan to attract prospective business partners. As a result, the whole community is bolstered by the increased investment in the creative economy.
